Personally I think it’s better to remove Guest session from login as it prevents from unauthorised access of our local drive data. In Ubuntu 12.04 , we can remove Guest session from login through small changes in Lightdm.conf file .
This tutorial will show you how to remove Guest session from Ubuntu 12.04 which is present by default in it .
Step 1 : Open the terminal and run the following command to edit the Lightdm.conf .
sudo gedit /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
Step 2 : Add “Allow-Guest=false” and save the lightdm.conf .
Step 3 : That’s it done .
err…what command?
“Open the terminal and run the following command to edit the Lightdm.conf .”
I take it you meant to put the actual coommand instead of the editor that appears after the given command…
Thank you for your help, I did it through; sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
Hi Mr. Raj,
I’m from Kerala, doing restaurant management. I’m using Ubuntu 12.04. I wanted to remove login session due to wastage of time. For that whenever I try to unlock the user account, a dialogue box appear, vibrate and dissappear very fast. I can’t read it or make any changes. Would you please help?
Sincerely,
Jayakumar.M
